A massive congratulations and well done to the 6th class girls in St Marnocks on making it to the Dublin Spar 5-Aside Finals.
The finals took place in Alfie Byrne Astro and the girls were faced with 3 tough fixtures.
Game 1 - The girls managed to win out this game 6-1 winners. They were excellent in this game. The skill, the touch in tight spaces and the composure on the ball was excellent.
Game 2 - The girls were up against it in game two. Faced with a tough challenge the girls worked extremely hard and Mr Cooper was extremely proud of the girls in their performance.
Game 3 - The girls were faced with another tough task. The game was up and down for the first ten minutes, then our girls finished with a flurry. They tapped in 4/5 goals to finish out the day.
Unfortunately, the girls need to win ever game to qualify and didn’t make it through on the day. An excellent achievement for the girls to make it to the Dublin Finals. Mr Cooper and the rest of the girls and boys in 6th class are pushing on with the 11 a-side competition at the minute with many more games to come.
