Mr. Maughan's Sixth class travelled to Morton Athletics Stadium in Santry yesterday to run the final mile of their
Marathon Kids programme with children from lots of other schools in the Fingal area. They wore their Marathon Kids tshirts as they ran around Santry Demesne and finished with a lap of the track. They were congratulated and given medals by representatives of Fingal County Council as they crossed the finish line. The children showed great determination over the last two months, running four mornings a week to complete the full 42km. They had a great sense of accomplishment after they finished and spirits were high on the journey home to Portmarnock.
