If Trees Could Talk. 4th class Mr Corkery.
We are delighted to be selected by the Fingal county council to work on an educational workshop Entitled "If Trees Could Talk". If Trees Could Talk is an exploration of artist Louis Haugh's photographic work for primary school children. His photographs will be presented on a billboard in Portmarnock, Fingal, during May and June 2021 enabling children to view the work at scale. This week we got to meet Louis Haugh the Artist and photographer and Primary school teacher Anne Bradley who is responsible for coordinating the program with Julie Clarke of Fingal. We had a zoom call where he showed us many of his amazing photographs and he was teaching us all about the amazing history of trees in Ireland. We had a talk and discussion session on his life and art. The next day we got to visit the billboard with Louis Work on it and make some billboards of our own. It was truly an amazing experience. Over the coming weeks we will be doing more creative work and learning about photography and trees. We cant wait!
