Sixth class were blessed once again with sunshine as they travelled to Glasnevin to visit the Cemetery.
It was a fantastic visit for our children once again and they recieved a highly informative 1.5hr long tour. After the tour of the graveyard they got to visit the interactive museum inside the grounds.
This was an excellent opportunity for sixth class as it fell inline with all of their SESE studies moving through this period of Irish history.
They got to visit graves and her information on Daniel O Connell, Michael Collins, Grace Clifford, Charles Stewart Parnell, James Larkin, Éamon de Valera, Roger Casement and Constance Markievicz.
It was an excellent tour and gave the students a great insight into this period of Irish history.
