After noticing the amount of basketball being played on yard, some teachers in the school gathered up an idea see if their was any interest in a school basketball team.
It turned out, there was huge interest. This was fantastic. Ms Flynn faced the task head on and luckily with links through our fantastic caretaker Paddy, we were able to organise a basketball game with Bayside NS.
Up first, our boys played last Monday. They trained hard with Ms Flynn in the mornings and were extremely excited for the games.
They put in a huge performance on the day, narrowly missing out on the win. But they were fantastic. Their skills were excellent. Their work-rate, commitment and attitude were brilliant.
Our girls basketball team are up next, and will be facing Bayside NS in another test match. They are really looking forward to it and we would like to thank the parents for help with the lifts on the day. We would also like to that the Athletics team for lending out their singlets for the basketball game.
