Well done to our various GAA teams who made it to their respective finals this year – it is a huge achievement to reach a final and we are so proud of all our teams. Unfortunately we didn’t take home any trophies this year, but the girls and boys involved in all the different teams gained great experience and gave our school many days to remember.
Our first set of finals took place on May 14th, with our Senior Boys’ and Senior Girls’ Footballers putting on exceptional displays in the Fingal League Finals in Abbotstown.
Next up was the turn of our Junior Girls’ Footballers on the 30th May, who were narrowly defeated by just 2 points in the Fingal League Junior Final in Parnell Park.
Finally, to cap off a great sporting year in our school, our Senior Boys’ Hurlers put on a brave display in the Cumann na mBunscol Hurling Final in Croke Park. What an achievement to have our players’ names displayed on the big screen in Croker!
A huge well done to all the children and their coaches involved in the teams. We look forward to another great year of GAA come September!
